Chapter 13: Two Moms

I just wanted to take the time to write something for my moms. I know I’m not the sweetest or most perfect daughter in the world, but I want to make my moms the happiest and proudest moms in the world.

Growing up, I wasn’t really close to my mom because she was always busy. I’d only see her on weekends. I left for school at around 6am, and she would wake up at 6:30am. She gets home and goes to sleep even before I come home at 8pm or sometimes even 9pm. It wasn’t a perfect childhood, but it’s ok. I’m still grateful for what I had. I don’t have a lot of memories with her either, I just remember that feeling longing for a mom. Nonetheless, I’ve never wanted anything else but to make my parents proud and happy -it was my goal in life. I’d study 24/7 so I can get good marks. I remember showing my mom my report card whenever it would come out, and she would always tell me I did a great job, kiss my forehead, and rush out the door to go to work. That is one of my best and only memories with my mom.

I used to hate my life. I used to wish for a normal family -one with parents that were always there, one with a mom who cooks you breakfast, and a dad who helps you with homework. But now, I realize how silly I was. I had a good life. I may not have had parents who would attend my award ceremonies or watch me in school plays, but I had great parents who work tirelessly for me. And I also had a nanny who took care of me and loved me like her own daughter. I took her for granted when I was growing up, but now I realize how important she is to me. She’s my second mom, and I owe my life to her as much as I do to my mom.

I’m lucky to have been blessed with two moms. I love both of them very much. And someday, I will be the one taking care of them.

Hello, it’s been a while since I’ve been on. I just wanted to put this on my blog. One of the reasons why I’ve been busy since last year is because of Junior Achievement. Words cannot describe the how amazing this organization is. I honestly have learned and experienced so much from it. After all the countless sleepless nights trying to finish everything, we’ve finally reached the end, and it is absolutely worth it.

On another note, thank you for those who did not click the unfollow button and stuck with my inactive blog. I’ve received a few nice messages, and I truly appreciate all of them. I reply to messages privately, so feel free to leave a message :) I didn’t abandon my blog, I’m just a bit busy, so it’s hard to find time to reblog pictures. Nonetheless, I’ll try to be more active, because I do miss tumblr, and I love you all. I hope you’re all doing well, and don’t forget to stay priceless :)

I’m not good enough, and I’m not doing enough. I’ve been letting stress get to me, and I let myself be overwhelmed by things I shouldn’t even be worrying too much about. Something has to change. I have to be better.

Chapter 12: The Hungry and Lost Adventurer

I was home alone, again, with no food and no skills to cook. So I decided to venture out and look for a new restaurant to eat at. I planned on going to my friend’s work so I can try their food and visit him, but things did not turn out so well. I searched the place on my phone, got the directions, and hopped on the bus. I had to take two buses to get there, so I thought it wouldn’t be so bad. Then, I got off the first bus, waited for the next one for almost half an hour; it turns out I was waiting at the wrong stop. How did I know? I saw the second bus that I was supposed to take on the other side of the street. Ok. So I crossed to the other side of the street, and I can’t find the bus stop. And, my phone was dying. Great, I’m in the middle of nowhere, hungry, freezing, it was getting dark, and now my phone is dying. So I walked down the street, looking for the bus stop. I walked until I couldn’t see anymore people, and I got scared. So I walked back to where I was originally. Now it was dark, and I was alone. I was desperate. I took my phone, called my mom (hoping she’d answer and be at home -since everyone was pretty much 2 hours away from home when I left), and she answered. She asked me where I was, but I didn’t have a clue where I was. Then, I looked around and told her the place where I was, and she said she’ll try to find me. An hour later, she found me. I asked her how, and she told me she checked Google Latitude for my location, and she got the directions from there -strange, my data was off the whole time because my phone was dying. Nonetheless, Google Latitude saved me today.

I wasn’t able to go to my friend’s work, but I got to try Five Guys burger instead, and it was good.

Moral lesson: ~~Get a phone with a longer battery life, so I can keep my data and keep google latitude on.~~ Plan better.
